An updated Administrative Arrangements Order released by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet is expected to have an effect on the current arrangements Comcare has with employers in its scheme.
A statement by Comcare said the Administrative Arrangement Order (AAO) would result in changes in the Machinery of Government (MOG) and this would have a flow-on effect with Comcare.
“As a result Comcare has developed a guide to assist Agencies affected by MOG changes to work with Comcare to update their arrangements,” Comcare said
It said the guide would help ensure any changes to Agency staffing were accurately reflected in workers’ compensation premiums. It would also minimise disruption to claims management and rehabilitation activities.
“During times of Organisational change, it is important to give attention to work health and safety as part of an integrated approach to risk management and corporate planning,” Comcare said.
“This includes consideration of any employees who are away from the workplace as a result of injury or illness or participating in a rehabilitation program.”
It urged Agencies who might be affected by MOG changes, to contact its Customer Information System helpdesk for more assistance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling1300 366 979.
