Walsh for TEQSA
Clifford Walsh has been appointed a part-time Commissioner of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).
Professor Walsh, an Emeritus Professor of Economics and a Visiting Research Fellow in the School of Economics at the University of Adelaide, will serve a four-year term, replacing Eric Mayne whose appointment ended in October, 2013.
New Tourism head
John O’Sullivan (pictured) has been appointed managing director of Tourism Australia, following the departure of Andrew McEvoy to take up a new position at Fairfax Media.
Mr O’Sullivan is currently Chief Operating Officer at Fox Sports.
Executive General Manager International at Tourism Australia, Frances-Anne Keeler will be Acting Managing Director until Mr O’Sullivan takes up his role in late March.

Angus Trumble had been appointed as the new Director of the National Portrait Gallery of Australia. His appointment is for five years.
Mr Trumble has held senior curating roles in Australia and overseas. His most recent post was Senior Curator of Paintings and Sculpture at the Yale University's Centre for British Art in Connecticut, United States.
New director for parks
Sally Barnes has been appointed Director of National Parks. Ms Barnes is currently Chief Executive of the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage and will take up her new position on 12 February.
She succeeds Peter Cochrane, who held the position for 14 years.
Snow for NCA
Malcolm Snow has been appointed Chief Executive of the National Capital Authority (NCA) for a term of five years.
Mr Snow’s experience includes seven years as Chief Executive of the South Bank Corporation in Brisbane.
He takes over from Chief Planner at the NCA, Andrew Smith who has been Acting Chief Executive for the past five months.
