Aged Care Sector Committee

Professor Peter Shergold AC will chair the Aged Care Sector Committee, which is designed to help build a constructive and lasting partnership between the Federal Government and the aged care sector.

  The committee includes Professor John Kelly, Chief Executive, Aged and Community Services Australia; Patrick Reid,Chief Executive, Leading Age Services Australia; Ian Yates, Chief Executive, Council on the Ageing; Lee Thomas,Federal Secretary, Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation; Michael O'Neill, Chief Executive, National Seniors Australia; Lin Hatfield Dodds, National Director, UnitingCare Australia; Martin Laverty, Chief Executive, Catholic Health Australia; Glenn Rees, Chief Executive, Alzheimer's Australia; Ara Cresswell, Chief Executive, Carers Australia; Netty Horton,Territorial Social Program Director, Salvation Army; Gary Barnier, Managing Director, Domain Principal Group; Louis Dudley, Managing Director, Bupa; and Lynda O'Grady, Chair, Aged Care Financing Authority.

 

De Fegely for Forestry Council

Rob De Fegely , National Director of the Institute of Foresters, has been named co-chair of the new Forestry Advisory Council.

Prime Minister, Tony Abbott announced last week that he would to set up the council to support the timber industry.
